Andrew Symonds is a former Australian cricketer who was a key member of the team that won the World Cup in 1999. He was a versatile all-rounder, capable of scoring runs and taking wickets.
Andrew Symonds made his international debut for Australia in 1998 and quickly established himself as a regular member of the side. He played a major role in Australia’s World Cup victory in 1999, scoring runs and taking wickets. He also played in the 2003 and 2007 World Cups.
Symonds was involved in an accident outside Townsville where he lived in retirement. Affectionately known as 'Roy'
