Bryce Dallas Howard claimed in an interview this week that he was pressured to lose weight before starring in "Jurassic World: Dominion."

The actress and director, who plays Claire Dearing in the film franchise, recently visited the U.K.

"How do I say that... [I've] been told not to use my natural body in cinema," Howard said in a video interview with the newspaper.

"On the third movie, it was really because there were so many women, it was something that Colin felt very strongly about in terms of protecting me..."

Howard remembered Trevorrow as saying, "There are many types of women on this planet and there are many types of women in our film."

"I got to do so many stunts that wouldn't have been possible if I was dieting," she said. "I'm really thrilled [at] whatever action I got to do, and I got to do it with my body,

She was at her maximum, and I hope this is yet another indication of what is possible."

Last month, Howard also spoke to Insider about the pay disparity between himself and "Jurassic World" co-star Chris Pratt, saying he was paid "so little."

She said that it was Pratt who led her to receive similar pay on other franchise opportunities, including spinoff games and theme park rides.
