However, in the midst of a fresh sexual misconduct scandal involving the WWE chairman, McMahon

McMahon has agreed to step back away from his boardroom responsibilities for the duration of the investigation.

A lot of the capital earned by the McMahon family has been pumped back into the company for a number of years, although a number of share-sales have increased McMahon's wealth.

In 2017 he sold 3.34 million shares which netted him a grand total of 100 million dollars, although this money was immediately put into the XFL project.

In April of 2019, McMahon sold 3.2 million shares of WWE stock, which had rebounded significantly, for a total gain of 272 million dollars.

At the time of writing, this is worth around 2.76 billion dollars, although as of 2022, his net worth is deemed to be around 2.4 billion dollars, which is ever so slightly less.
